Light body with medium acidity, and an exceptional sweetness. Strong notes of  strawberry jam.

Our single-origin Arabica coffee is cultivated by smallholder farmers on the slopes of Mt. Elgon, nestled at elevations ranging from 1900 to 2300 meters above sea level. Blessed with nutrient-rich volcanic soils, these farmers meticulously oversee every stage of coffee production, from tending to the gardens to handpicking ripe cherries, and through the processes of pulping, fermentation, washing, drying, milling, and grading of the green beans. Their dedication ensures the creation of a cup of unparalleled excellence.

The Invisible Hands Women’s Initiative (IHWI) is a legally registered community-based organisation located in Mbale, Uganda. Comprising nearly 100 women, they play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of coffee from the region, yet their contributions often go unnoticed (they are the unseen hands in the supply chain!). These women painstakingly sort through each and every bean to guarantee that only the finest ones are selected, thus elevating the quality of our coffee. IHWI serves as a structured conduit through which Dancing Road Coffee and its partners return a portion of the profits generated from coffee sales back to the community that is essential for producing exceptional coffee (profits made possible by you, the consumer!).

IHWI utilises these funds as seed capital to uplift their standard of living. By circulating the money within the group, women are empowered to start businesses, educate their children, and reinvest in the collective, thereby augmenting their shared seed capital.
