meet our ambassadors

Chris Ball
53 years old and still a competitive cyclist at a international age group level.

I suffer from PTSD and Chronic Crohn’s disease that at times spirals my life into depression.
My only solace at times is my bike and of course coming from an Italian family my love for cycling and coffee goes without saying.
Without the support of my family and Mental Health charities goodness knows we’re I’d be.
It’s good to talk.

Stuart Chamberlain

49 years old with over 30 years’ service in the British Army’s Infantry

Stuart left the regular Army after 23 years having served with the Rifles Regiment in Iraq, Afghanistan, Northern Island, Sierra Leone and Kosovo to name a few. Made his way through the ranks from a Rifleman to Warrant Officer class 2 (Sarjant Major) during this time.

Always an active person I enjoyed an array of sports but boxing was what I enjoyed most having competed as a school boy before joining the forces and also carried this on while serving for my first 10 years. Cycling came to me through a friend that lent me a bike to train on after an injury prevented high impact exercise and so the love for it was instant.

I left the regular forces after 23 years but soon found out that civilian life was not an easy place to be which had a massive impact and my mental health to a point where I had to finally open up and get help which I did through The MIND charity, I also made the decision after almost 3 years to re-join the forces which is where I currently still work.

I currently race for the Infantry within the CAT B group of the Army road race series against other Regiments. Other than racing I take on endurance cycling to raise awareness and funds for mental health and it’s charities as this is where I am happiest other than being with family.

The last major fund raiser I carried out was a 1000 mile ride which started in Edinburgh and finished in Birmingham criss crossing the country on the way down which was completed in 8 days and raising over £2500 and awareness for mental health and the Birmingham MIND charity.

It is an absolute privilege to be an ambassador for Full Gas Coffee Co and to carry on spreading awareness for mental health especial for men which is much needed and something I am extremely passionate about, having been there and still do now and again.

Marco Overbeeke

University Student, Bike Racer and enjoying life

I am currently studying photography at the University of Arts London. Second year student, living in Kent with my parents Marein, Sally-Ann and young brother Conrad. When I am not studying to become a world renowned photographer, I race my bike. I am lucky enough to don the blue, red and white colours of TAAP Kalas Racing. TAAP Kalas is a British Elite Cycling Team with huge race ambitions and known for their grit and determination on the Track, Road and Crit Series. Still racing as a Development Rider, I am aiming to break into the Elite Team and get some big races under the belt.

Doing all of this is only possible through the support of my parents, my girlfriend, team mates and loved ones.

I am so proud to be made an ambassador for Full Gas Coffee Co. Full Gas Coffee Co support Mental Health Charities through each sale. Please buy a bag…. or even two and help support. It all helps.
